Pic-A-Day Project: Homeward Bound

Friday evening at the Gurgaon-Delhi Toll Plaza
Friday evening at the Gurgaon-Delhi Toll Plaza

Not hard to believe that the National Capital Region now has over 11 million vehicles and growing! This is a picture of a sea of traffic at the Gurgaon-Delhi toll plaza on National Highway 8, making their way home on a Friday evening.

Thanks to Bipasha Sarkar for this (almost) bird’s eye view of the city!

Have a happy weekend folks!

Thanks Sushmita….kind of hard to believe traffic can look that pretty!

  1. Hi! Wanted permission to use this pic (with credit of course) for the Oxfam blog, for which I am currently writing. Its for a story on secondary cities and I’m trying to illustrate the ill effects of poor planning using the Gurgaon traffic example. Do let me know what you think. It’s rather urgent though.

Sure, would be glad to help out!
But this pic hasn’t been taken by me, so I’ll request to give credit to the photographer Bipasha Sarkar and link to this post.
Best of luck with your story, do share with us when you’re ready 🙂

What do you think, dear reader?
