Well, heritage lovers, it’s not just the old that defines the culture of Delhi, it’s also the new! And what better example than the new addition to the city’s skyline in 2005: the majestic Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. One could argue it’s as much a destination for the devout as it is an immense tourist complex complete with musical fountains, IMAX theater, exhibitions and food stalls… but none can deny the beauty of this piece of architecture. The temple is named after a belief in Swaminarayan Hinduism.

    great pic. i was not at all aware of all the other trappings that this complex came with. a movie theater and shopping complex. very strange.
