Monday morning blues anyone? Time for a fun quiz!
Would you believe this beautiful step-well is in Delhi? Can you guess its name and location? Make your guess here and also watch what others are guessing!
Latest update: The correct answer is Rajon ki Baoli, a little known but very pretty baoli nestled in the woods of the Mehrauli Archaeological Park in Delhi. It was probably built in 1506 during the reign of Sikander Lodi.

Yes I have, isn’t it wonderful! Such an oasis of peace in the madness of central Delhi! Though personally I like Rajon ki Baoli the most…it’s really pretty 🙂
This looks wonderful! I’ve never been— will have to check it out before I leave Delhi!
Oh good, are you in Delhi these days? Then do try to go to the Mehrauli Archaeological Park…there are several old monuments there, including this beautiful step-well. It’s perfect for a morning walk!

I live in the US, but I’m in (South) Delhi for another couple weeks before I head back. I’ve been here many times, but haven’t ever seen that park or Jahanpanal so hopefully I’ll be able to make it to both. Would love any other recommendations you have as well!
Haha I missed that second comment— I’m so glad you commented on my blog so that I was able to find yours! 🙂
Great to come across this blog! its a ‘wanderful’ trove indeed! 🙂 Meharauli Archaeological Park is a beautiful place. I was lucky to chance upon an INTACH walk in this park soon after I shifted to Delhi. Was a good starting point for my wandering later on. Still lots to explore!
Thank you 🙂 And good to know we are in the same boat. Happy exploring!
