Wonder where this is?

Take a shot at guessing this one… you know what to do! just post your reply on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DateWithDelhi and check out what others have guessed as well 🙂

Latest update: This is the Dargah (shrine) of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, a Sufi saint of the 14th century who remains loved and revered by thousands to this day. The saint believed in the love of God and mankind, and his shrine has become a haven for people of all faiths.

Also within the same complex are the tombs of many notables of yesteryear…prominent among them are the poet Amir Khusrau and the princess Jahanara Begum (daughter of Shah Jahan). Many royals and nobles were devout followers of Nizamuddin, and chose to be close to him even in death.

If you haven’t been there, guys, definitely try a Thursday evening! It maybe rather crowded but you’ll not regret it…. the Qawwali singers at the Dargah will surely enthrall you!
